Solos, Duets, Trios
Our Solo Director for the 2023-2024 season is Miss Gabby.
REQUIREMENTS

Your dancer must be 9 years old by October 1st to do a solo - duet or trio.

These are routines that require extreme commitment and dedication physically, mentally, and financially, from both the dancer and the parent.

You must be on a Show Stoppers competition team to do a solo, duet or trio.
Once you decide to do a S/D/T there are a couple requirements that must be met before you are approved to begin the S/D/T process and compete.

Register on the Class registration page here:

Pay the $40 solo, duo, trio registration fee through the parent portal for each S/D/T you compete (this covers admin time to register you for competitions, send out info, email out results and videos, order your costume if needed, music purchased, music edited, etc.)

Gain final approval from the Solo Director on costume, music, and dancers in the duo/trio (if applicable) before starting choreography.
SOLO/DUET/TRIO DEADLINES:

1st Session opens June 26th

Must register & pay registration by fee by July 1st

Music & costumes must be approved by end of July
-
First half of payment due 1st learning day (scheduled with Gabby)

Second half of payment is due on 2nd learning day (scheduled with Gabby)

Both learning sessions will take place in August
-
2nd session opens August 15th (if we still have openings)

Must register & pay registration by fee by September 1st

Music & costumes must be approved by end of September

Both learning sessions will take place in October

This session will not perform at winter recital

LEARNING SESSIONS:
-
The Learning sessions is where the student(s) will learn the choreography to their routine.
-
This is done in 2 - 45 min sessions.
-
Students then take the choreography home to practice and perfect.
-
Students can record the choreography at the end of the session to practice with at home.
-
Practicing at home is a huge part of doing a solo/duet/trio.
15 MIN. CHECK SESSIONS:
-
The student(s) will be required to attend 1 - 15 minute cleaning session before winter recital and a 15 min check before each competition to help prepare for upcoming performances and competitions as well as 1 - 15 min check before spring recital.

Extra practice times can be added with additional cost (see costs below).

These are "cleaning" sessions where they will show the instructor the routine, ask questions and fine tune the routine.

Students must know their routines for these sessions in order to perform and/or compete.

These check will be sent to you after you register for your routine.

They are MANDATORY in order for you to perform. If you miss it you are required to pay Gabby for another appointment.
COSTUME INFO:

All costumes must be modest and approved through Becky & Gabby.

After music is decided a handful of links to specific costumes will be sent to you for you to pick from.

MUSIC:

Students can pick their own music but it must be approved through Becky & Gabby.

Students can also receive help finding music.
-
Music will be cut/edited and be sent to you via email.

We will provide the music at all performances and competitions.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Registration fee is due when approved (you will receive an email)
-
Balance will be split into 2 payments. 1st 1/2 due on 1st learning session and 2nd 1/2 due on 2nd learning session.

If student(s) feel he/she needs more instruction, extra time can be added with an additional payment.

Solo/Duo/Trio fee covers choreography, 2 learning sessions & 4 - 15 min checks.

Solo $350 + registration fee + costume fee (vary in price)

Registration fee - $40 (due upon registering to hold your spot)

First payment - $175

DUET FEE:
-
Duet $450 + registration fee + costume fee (vary in price)

Registration fee - $60 (each student pays $30) due upon registration to hold your spot

First payment - $225 (each dancer pays $112.50)

Second payment - $225 (each dancer pays $112.50)

TRIO FEE:
-
Trio $500 + registration fee + costume fee (vary in price)

Registration fee - $90 (each student pays $30) due upon registration to hold your spot

First payment - $250 (each dancer pays $83)

Second payment - $250 (each dancer pays $83)

COMPETITION ENTRANCE FEES:

Solo entrance fees range from $95 - $120 per solo per competition
-
Duet entrance fees range from 115 - $155 per duet per competition (split between 2 dancers)

Trio entrance fees range from $155 - 175 per trio per competition (split between 3 dancers)

These fees will be due 1/2 November 1st and 1/2 December 1st

We will give you exact fees once you decide which 2 or 3 competitions you will be competing at.
