BECKY ABBOTT - STUDIO OWNER
Ballet, Tap, Clogging, Hip Hop, Cheer, Certified USA Gymnastics Instructor
I was born and raised in Salmon, Idaho. I started dancing when I was 3 years old. When I was little there wasn’t a studio in my home town, so my mom would drive me every week to dance lessons 6 hours round trip. I am so grateful for her sacrifice and helping me to realize at a young age I wanted to be a dance teacher and give kids the opportunity to learn to dance/tumble close to home and love it as I do.
Growing up I took tap, ballet, modern, clogging, jazz, and gymnastics. I was a cheerleader for 2 years in Jr. High and 4 years in High School, being team captain 4 of those years, loving the dance part of cheerleading the most. I attend Ricks College for a year, taking dance classes. I taught for 3 years at the studio I took from before following my husband to Boise. I was an assistant cheerleading coach at Centennial High School from 1996 - 1997. I started Becky’s Dance Co. out of my garage 23 years ago, in an effort to fulfill this life long dream of mine, of owning my own studio.
I love seeing my students learn and grow and most of all have better self esteem as they leave my studio each week. That is my main goal, for them to feel better about themselves and love dance/cheer/gymnastics as I do. I love teaching dance & gymnastics & spending time with my family! I have a great family support system, my husband Brad and my 8 children.

MCKENZIE SHARP
Advanced Class Manager, Competition Team Manager
I started dancing at Becky’s Dance Co. at the early age of 4 years old. My desire to dance started there and grew through out the my life. At the age of 14 I had the opportunity to choreograph and teach a couple routines which quickly turned into a new hobby. From then on my passion for dance was over powered by the passion to choreograph & teach. Through high school not only was I able to attend & compete on competitive teams, I also had the opportunity to teach several classes and take some of them to competitions where we would win multiple high awards. I have choreographed several solos, duets & trios that were able to receive 1st place awards at nationals as well. I loved to perform & that love later lead me to try out for the Rocky Mountain Diamond Dancers team my senior year, where we took 1st in the State in all our routines for 5a. I attended BYU- Idaho where I started their dance major program & furthered my training as well.
I met my husband Austin and we are now married and are residing in the valley where I can continue teach dance & raise a family. Dancing, choreography & teaching have always & will always be apart of me.
I love the kids and the excitement they bring to my classes. I love to focus on not just teaching them dance moves but how to train, work hard & excel in all things in life.

I have a true passion for dance and look forward to sharing it with others!

REBECCA SANDERSON
Ballroom, Ballet/Tap, Move & Groove Instructor
I graduated BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Dance with emphasis on Ballroom teaching. I was able to dabble in many forms of dance, but ballroom is by far my favorite. I learned both Bronze and Silver levels in most of the American style dances. I have been teaching at Becky's for 3 years and taught social dance at BYU-I for several semesters. I often drag my husband along when I teach. I say it's to help me demonstrate, but really it's to remind him to dance with me! We have two daughters that also take lessons at Becky's.

ALY GRAVETT
Cheer, Gymnastics Instructor
I was born in Alaska but moved to Meridian Idaho when I was 4. Just this past summer my family and I moved here to Middleton, and I love it here! The community and people here are all amazing.
Before I moved, I was on Meridian High School’s Varsity Cheer team for 2 years. I also did competitive gymnastics at Danik Gymnastics for 4 years and sadly got injured, but I am so excited to continue my passion for cheer and gymnastics through teaching at BDC! I can’t wait to help kids learn new skills and learn the importance of team work and a good attitude!

KAYLEE COX

My name is Kaylee Cox and I’m so excited to be working with Becky’s Dance Co. this year! I have lived in Middleton for the last 9 years and I absolutely love it here. I started dancing at the age of 3 and it has become my biggest passion ever since! I am a current member of Middleton High School’s dance team and was Head Captain in 2021-2022. I have attended various studios in the valley and have learned from many different instructors, and have felt the impact they have made on my life. It has always been a goal of mine to share my love of dance with kids and I hope to make a difference in their lives, just as my teachers did for me!

HADLIE ABBOTT
Assistant Cheer, Hip Hop & Gymnastics Instructor

ELLIE FOY
Gymnastics Instructor
I did competitive gymnastics for eight years in Fortuna, CA. I did it with my older sister and had blast. I completely fell in love with the sport and everything about it. Once I got to a higher level, I would help out with level one and two classes. I love teaching, and did that for about my last two years. I stopped so I could more fully focus on my tumbling and cheer.
After doing gymnastics I started doing just pure tumbling (at various gyms) and practicing cheer at open gyms. Before the cheer season started we moved to Idaho, where I continued to work on my tumbling. I always loved learning new skills and seeing how far I could push myself. I’m excited to share that passion and all I’ve learned!
